All of our grade 1/2's are playable in the first couple of months of study.  Handing out music immediately keeps the student excited and interested in making music and playing in the band. This is a very gentle sounding song starting in a minor mode (not key) moving the its relative major, and returning to minor.  Maybe a bit mysterious and a minor sound is seldom hear at the very beginning level.
